Das FE-Event ist tot, es lebe das EFM ( Easter Fetish Meeting)-Event!

Der Veranstalter der Fetish Evolution und Katzentatze waren nicht unbedingt einer Meinung, dass das Konzept der Fetish Evolution an sich so noch passt. Immer kleinere Messebereiche mit für die Aussteller immer höheren Standmieten, zeitweise abgesperrte Hotelbereiche, für die man eigentlich bezahlt hat und nicht nutzen durfte, waren schon in den Jahren zuvor an der Tagesordnung. 2018 der Tiefpunkt, eine unselige Zwangsbindung: Kaufe eine Karte für die externe „The Ball“-Party (direkt in Essen, gefiel mir schon 2016 und 2017 nicht sonderlich) und erst dann hast Du die Möglichkeit, im eigentlichen „Fetish-Hotel“ Bredeney mit Deinen Feti-Freunden zu übernachten. Zynischerweise gab der Veranstalter noch an, man könnte in einem anderen Hotel ja nächtigen und gegen Kauf einer Messe-Tageskarte dann doch seine Freunde in Hotel besuchen gehen.

Und wie so viele andere auch, habe ich habe meine Bedenken in verschiedenen Foren und auch hier im Blog kundgetan. Und als sich nichts getan hat, mit dem Füßen abgestimmt und eben weggeblieben. Das Hotel blieb dann auch halbleer und damit auf Kosten sitzen, ob sich die Party „The Ball“ für den Veranstalter gerechnet hat, weiß ich nicht, ist auch nicht mein Problem. Für’s Hotel, was viele von uns als den eigentlichen Mittelpunkt der Fetish Evolution betrachteten, tat es mir leid.

Zu meiner Überraschung bekam ich im Dezember 2018 mit, dass sich das Hotel Bredeney über Ostern nun auf offiziellen Wege (die eigene Hotel-Page, Booking.com, HRS) buchen ließ. Eine Rückfrage unter Freunden und dort beim Hotel ergab, ja, das Hotel ist 2019 nicht der offizielle Ausrichter der Fetish Evolution, man habe die Reservierung für diese Veranstaltung und den Zeitraum Ostern 2019 aufgehoben.

Sofort entstand die Idee, dann lasst uns doch diese Gelegenheit nutzen, uns dort zu treffen und genau das zu machen, was wir schon immer dort machen wollten: eine Menge Spaß miteinander zu haben in einem Hotel mit unseren Freunden, mit an der Bar herumhängen, in Latex schwimmen gehen, schick in Latex essen gehen, Fotografieren und Filme machen. Messe, ja schade, dass sie nicht dabei ist, aber können wir verschmerzen. „The Ball“? Ich brauche den in diesem Konzept eh nicht. Model-Preisverleihungen? Nein, wozu? Das sind auch nur Menschen, die einfach nur das Glück haben, besser als die meisten von uns auszusehen und auch noch entsprechend hübsche Kleidung tragen zu können. Und ein Dinner in der Hotelgaststätte kann ich auch selbst organisieren, wir gehen einfach dort gemeinsam essen.

Also alle schon mal informiert, die wir kannten und überzeugt, dass das ein schöne Zeit dort wird. Schon waren wir ca. 20 Buchungen.

Die Kunde vom Ausfall sprach sich so langsam herum. Und Un_Beso (LZ-Name), der zusammen mit DNNS (LZ-Name), mir und einigen anderen in der LatexZentrale im Jahr 2018 versucht hatten, den Veranstalter mit einem besseren Konzept zu überzeugen (und kläglich scheiterten, mit dem bekannten Ergebnis, dass das Hotel ziemlich leer blieb) nahm das Heft in die Hand. Auf seine Initiative hin gibt es nun ein Agreement mit dem Hotel, welches nun wieder für „Fetis only“ nur noch buchbar ist, was wie folgt aussieht (Stand 5.2.2019):

  • UNSER ZIEL: Der Erhalt einer Osterveranstaltung für Kinks ... back to the roots … seinen Fetisch genießen unter Gleichgesinnten, von der community für die community ...
  • DAS HOTEL: Das Hotel stellt uns seine Räume von Freitag bis Montag exklusiv zur Verfügung. D.h., dass wir „unter uns“ sind und zugleich die Verpflichtung haben, zu zeigen, dass wir so einen Ort und die dortige Tradition wünschen. Nur dadurch, dass es sich rechnet für das Hotel durch Zimmerverkauf und Konsum in Bar und Restaurant wird es gewillt sein, dieses Event fortzuführen oder sogar gegebenenfalls wieder mitaufzubauen. Öffnung und Mitarbeiter an Feiertagen müssen sich betriebswirtschaftlich rechnen.
  • VON-BIS: von Freitag 19.4. bis Montag 22.4.2019
  • Wie lange muss man bleiben? Ist freigestellt, 1, 2, 3 Nächte, je nachdem wie lange man es genießen möchte
  • Darf man auch ohne Übernachtung erscheinen? Ist generell möglich im Bereich der Bar und Restaurant. Für das Schwimmbad und Sauna kann an der Rezeption eine Tageskarte erworben werden für 20 Euro. Hier möchten wir gegenüber den Übernachtenden und dem Hotel fairnesshalber auch keine Ausnahmen sehen. Außerdem bitten wir dann um ordentlichen Konsum in Bar und Restaurant.
  • Darf man auch ohne Übernachtung die Sauna / Schwimmbad nutzen? Für das Schwimmbad und Sauna kann an der Rezeption eine Tageskarte erworben werden für 20 Euro. Hier möchten wir gegenüber den Übernachtenden und dem Hotel fairnesshalber auch keine Ausnahmen sehen.
  • Sind Bar und Restaurant offen? Ja, sind sie. Die Küche ist bis 22.30 Uhr offen, die Bar sogar verlängert bis um 02.00 Uhr morgens. Das Team hinter der Theke ist bewährt.
  • Pool/Sauna Öffnungszeiten: Offen von 06.30 bis 22.30 Uhr, auch Sauna. Keine Getränke. Keine Aufsicht Keine Party in den Räumen. Keine Straßenkleidung
  • Kann öffentlich gespielt werden? Im Bereich Restaurant und Bar ist es möglich. Das Hotel erwartet hier aber, dass es gemäßigt zugeht und hat das letzte Wort. Schmerzhafte oder extreme Spiele (z.B. Strom, o.ä.) sind vom Hotel in der Öffentlichkeit nicht gewünscht. Es kann ein separater Bereich zum Aufstellen von Spielgeräten geben, der sogenannte Club im Hotel, der für 230 Euro angemietet werden kann (hier müssten sich Sponsoren finden oder eine Art Eintrittsgeld gesammelt werden für die, die Geräte mitbringen wollen und zur Nutzung zur Verfügung stellen möchte. Dieser Club-Raum könnte auch von einem oder mehrerer Hersteller gesponsort werden im Sinne „Praxisspaß mit xyz“
  • Findet Programm im Hotel statt? Es gibt bislang kein offizielles Programm. Sofern wir auf privater Ebene einen DJ mit Anlage finden, geben wir es sofort bekannt. Sollte sich einer/eine bereiterklären, freuen wir uns auf Kontaktaufnahme, dieser müsste „seine Anlage“ noch mit dem Hotel kurz klären. Es werden vermutlich Photographen da sein, ggf. ist der eine oder andere bereit, auch mal mit Frischlingen oder Newbies zu shooten.
  • Gibt es in Essen oder näherer Umgebung Clubs oder Parties, auf die man gehen kann? Bis heute ist von den Veranstaltern der Fetish Evolution nichts bekannt, außer was auf ihrer Webseite zu finden ist. Wir prüfen in den Community Plattformen ein paar Wochen vorher, was es gibt und treten ggf. mit den Clubs/Parties zur „Vorwarnung“ in Kontakt. Ziel wäre es aber aktuell, den Schwerpunkt im Hotel zu legen.
  • Welcher „Fetisch“ ist da? Schwerpunkt wird vermutlich Latex/Rubber sein, aber die Veranstaltung ist offen für jeden Fetisch. Also wird auch Baumwoll-Fetisch möglich sein, auch wenn er sich hoffentlich weniger ausgeprägt zeigt.
  • Wir möchten etwas aufführen, BDSM Möbel mitbringen, DJ sein oder anderweitig unterstützen. Wir sammeln, was immer ihr bietet und daten die Community regelmäßig ab, wenn sich Freiwillige gefunden haben – für jedwede Art des freiwilligen Beitrages.
  • Ich bin Aussteller, kann ich ausstellen? Es ist keine Messe geplant. Müsste abgestimmt werden und in der Art und welcher Art von Obolus, für den wiederum z.B. eine Musik-Anlage gemietet werden könnte oder der Club-Raum bezahlt.
  • Ich würde sponsoren, wenn ich Flyer o.ä. auslegen darf. Geht das? Das Hotel stimmt zu unter der Maßgabe, dass die Reste vom Auslegenden entsorgt werden.

Ich denke, damit ist alles gesagt. Das Ganze noch mal in Englisch dann ganz unten.

Mittlerweile sind es schon über 100 Personen, die mir bekannt sind und dort gebucht haben. Es wird garantiert eine tolle Zeit unter ganz vielen Freunden und natürlich werden wir dem Hotel zu einem vernünftigen betriebswirtschaftlichen Ergebnis verhelfen, eine Win-Win-Situation für alle Beteiligten.

Und wie bucht man nun, wenn man Interesse hat? Einfach auf die Hotelwebseite (https://www.hotel-bredeney.de/) gehen und dort über die Mail-Adresse oder das Telefon sich ein Zimmer seiner Wahl und Aufenthaltsdauer bestellen. Dabei „Treffpunkt Essen“ nicht vergessen anzugeben, das ist das Stichwort für das Hotel, damit sie wissen, ihr gehört zur Feti-Gemeinde. Wir möchte ja schließlich keine Omi’s oder Kinder zum Erstaunen bringen.

Also denn, wir sind vom Freitag bis Montag da und freuen uns, euch alle zu sehen. Ein paar nette Photografen haben sich auch schon angemeldet.

The organizers of the Fetish Evolution and myself did not necessarily agree that the Fetish Evolution concept still fits in that way. Smaller and smaller trade fair areas with higher and higher rents for exhibitors, temporarily closed off hotel areas, for which one actually paid and was not allowed to use, had already been on the agenda in the years before. 2018 the low point, an unfortunate compulsory bond: Buy a card for the external "The Ball" party (directly in Essen, I did not like 2016 and 2017, especially) and only then you have the opportunity in the actual "fetish hotel" Bredeney to stay with your feti friends. Cynically, the organizer said, you could spend the night in another hotel and then visit your friends in hotel by buy a fair-day ticket.

And like so many others, I have voiced my concerns in various forums and here in the blogtoo. And when nothing has happened, I take my feet and just stayed away. The hotel was then half empty and therefore at a cost, whether the party "The Ball" has calculated for the organizers, I do not know, is not my problem. For the hotel, which many of us considered the actual focus of the Fetish Evolution - event, I was sorry.

To my surprise, I got in December 2018 the message, that the hotel Bredeney over Easter now open the booking on official routes (the hotel's own page, Booking.com, HRS). A questioning among friends and there at the hotel revealed, yes, the hotel is not the official host of the Fetish Evolution in 2019 anymore, they have the reservation for this event and the period Easter 2019 repealed.

Immediately the idea came up, let's take this opportunity to meet and do exactly what we always wanted to do there: having fun together in a hotel with our friends, hanging out at the bar, swimming in latex, chic eating in latex, taking pictures and making films. Mass, it is a pity that she is not there, but we can get over it. "The Ball"? I do not need that in this concept anyway. Model award ceremonies? No, why? These are just people who are just lucky enough to look better than most of us and also be able to wear pretty clothes. And I can organize a dinner in the hotel restaurant by myself, we just go eat there together. So everyone has already been informed that we knew and convinced that this is a great time there. Already we were about 20 bookings.

The message of this spoke around so slowly. And Un_Beso (LZ-name), who together with DNNS (LZ-name), me and some others in the Latexcentrale in 2018 had tried to convince the organizer with a better concept (and failed miserably, with the well-known result that the hotel was pretty empty) took the booklet in the hand. On his initiative, there is now an agreement with the hotel, which is now only for "Fetis only" bookable:

And now the FAQ (as of 5.2.2019) and some words about the situation in English again (translation from Un_Beso, many thanks):

When we heard that the organizer of FE has not come to an agreement with the hotel, we still called up and booked our room. Un_beso is still end-user and no organizer. I just promised to the hotel to promote the following fact on the community channels, e.g. here in fetlife) and we will there (as hopefully many others).
I put together the current status of FAQs, which should help to make your decision and participate in one way or another at this great venue.

  • OR AIM: Keeping this wonderful Easter occasion alive for Kinks … a bit back to the roots … enjoy your fetish with like-minded people, from the community for the community with the community ...
  • HOTEL: The hotel Bredeney decided to be “exclusively for kinks only” from Friday April 19th to Monday 22nd. This is a certain risk for the hotel and means, we are just around like-minded people. On one side this is kind and a risk for the hotel - at the other we can show, that our commitment is high to keep one event alive in a time, where many events struggle to survive. If sold rooms, consumption at the bar and restaurant will have a relevance to employ and pay staff at the weekend, it will have a future.
  • FROM-TO: from Friday 19.4. to Monday 22.4.2019
    HOW LONG DO I/WE NEED TO STAY/BOOK? This is up to you, whether you want to live your kink for 1,2,3 nights
  • CAN I COME WITHOUT STAYING OVERNIGHT?? This is possible in the bar and restaurant Area. For the pool / sauna you are kindly asked to pay a day pass for 20 Euros at the reception. Here it would be only fair to follow this rule – furthermore a consumption at bar or restaurant would be appreciated.
  • CAN I USE THE SAUNA AND POOL WITHOUT STAYING OVERNIGHT? For the pool / sauna you are kindly asked to pay a day pass for 20 Euros at the reception. Here it would be only fair to follow this rule – furthermore a consumption at bar or restaurant would be appreciated.
  • ARE THE BAR AND RESTAURANT OPEN? Yes, they are. The kitchen is open till 22.30 pm and the bar is open even till 2 am in the morning (normally 1 am). The team behind the bar is fetish proofed.
  • WHAT ARE THE POOL / SAUNA OPENING HOURS AND RULES: Open from 06.30 am to 10.30 pm. No glass, no supervision. No party. No street cloth.
    CAN WE PLAY IN PUBLIC? Yes, but hotel kindly asks to avoid painful (loud) or dirty play and has the last word obviously as owner of the place. It is possible to rent a „Club“ room in the basement for bigger toys you want to bring. As there is some cost involved (230 E.) you or a producer could sponsor this room ( e.g. „this nasty room is sponsored by xyz rubber fashion or xxx furniture or abc polish ... g )
  • IS THERE ANY PROGRAM AT THE HOTEL? You are the show – there is no official program as of now. If we find a DJ /Jane (you?) and get a PA we will announce it. If there are DJs / DJanes around willing to play, somebody brings a PA – it would be great, just let us know and get in touch. There will be photographers around hopefully, the one or other will even shoot with freshers or newbies.
  • ARE THERE ANY CLUBS IN ESSEN WITH PARTIES? As of today we have not heard from FE if they do a party at Delta for example. We will add clubs and possibilities as soon as we know and spread it here. Focus will and should be the hotel as of now.
  • WHICH FETISH IS AROUND? Hopefully any kind, we guess rubber/latex is the main, but all others (incl. cotton) is allowed and appreciated … well cotton hopefully only in minority. 🙂
  • WE WANT TO SUPPORT WITH BDSM FURNITURE, BEEING DJ/DJane or WANT TO SUPPORT IN OTHER WAY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN . We collect whatever you offer and date up the community – any kind of help is appreciated
  • I AM A LATEX, RUBER, LEATHER, METAL, FURNITURE, WHATEVER PRODUCER OR SELLER – CAN I SHOW MY PRODUCT? There is no official fair planned, we would need to discuss it and come back to you. Get in touch with us – maybe we find a solution with the hotel, e.g. cost share to subsidize a „play room“ … finding a sponsor of a play club room would be nicccce
  • I WOULD LIKE TO SPONSOR AND/OR SPREAD FLYER FOR MYOWN EVENT Is this possible? Fine for the hotel as long as you make sure to get the waste away yourself at the end.

Meanwhile, there are already over 100 people, who are known to me , have booked there. It is guaranteed, we have a great time among many friends and of course we will help the hotel to a reasonable business result, a win-win situation for all involved.

    Schon erstaunlich, wie jemand, nach 15 Jahren, so sang- und klanglos sein Baby aus der Hand gibt, bzw nicht gewillt war, aus den Fehlern des letzten Jahres zu lernen. Auf jeden Fall Danke für die Zusammenfassung. Und ich sollte auch mal so langsam ein Zimmer buchen 🙂
